Bio

Phat Nguyen Tan was born in Vietnam. He received the B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the M.E. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2013 and 2015, respectively.

From 2013, he has worked as a researcher at the Telecommunications Department, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, HCMUT, where he designed and implemented an X-band TR Module for FMCW radar system, which measures distance and speed of moving targets. Since 2015, he has been with HCMUT Microwave Integrated Circuit and System Laboratory, where he proposed, designed and tested RF Front-Ends for Digital TV silicon tuners. Since 2018, he has been with UC Davis Microwave Microsystems Laboratory, where he conducts research on RFIC and MMIC design.

He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at College of Engineering, UC Davis. His research interests include RF and Millimeter wave transceiver systems, low-noise and power amplifiers, passive circuits, RFIC and MMIC Design.
